Update

Here is the beginning of my second approach for making a realistic eye.
And something that is just an experiment made with illustrator.

Last week I bought acrylic paint and 3 huge canvasses. So these days I'm painting more with real paint then painting on the computer.

Human Anatomy

Currently studying the human body. Trying to figure out the perfect proportions. For all sort of subjects : realistic, heroic, fashion design etc. It's not the most fun thing to do but surely I'm missing some of the basic theory. I think it will help a lot for my drawings since my proportions are always a bit off. I'm using the following books :
Pepin press - Figure Drawing for fashion design
Andrew Loomis - Figure Drawing for all it's worth
Burne Hogarth - Dynamic figure drawing
The last book is more based on the muscles and how they react while moving. As soon as I got the human proportions right and my muscle knowledge is a bit up. I'm going to focus on the proportions of animals.

Roses

Something I made some months ago. First I made a sketch with a normal pencil. Then I painted it in Photoshop. Click on it to see the large version.

My Eye

Today I started to draw an eye. The eye being the most expressive part of the body. It seemed a good subject to start with. Offcourse drawing an eye was much harder then I thought it would be at first... Here you can see my first approach for a digitally drawn eye. I tried making it as realistic as possible. It's work in progress though.

Old Art

Some things I made when I was in the year 2006-2007 at art class HML, in the hague.

Naive art

It is funny to see where the creativity started. These are some sketches I made when i was around the age of three. They are mostly just very cute and most of all naive :P

Introduction

In this blog I'm going to keep track of my creative progress.
